Mom & Dad

For I wouldn't say, there were no ups no downs,

No fracas, flareups or frowns,

It was a journey destined to be,

carried out by the utmost sincerity.

Together they'd laugh, together they'd cry,

like billions of roses, they'd bloomed in the time gone by.

For one was fire, the other ice,

They'd both win the stubbornness prize.

For marriage was a language, not just a vow,

I say they'd mastered it, and you shall take a bow.

They'd merrily sing, shout and sneeze,

They'd be my Tom & Jerry I tease!
